Food, Inc.

A few weeks ago, Jeff and I watched Food, Inc. It's a documentary about food production in the United States. I found it to be incredibly informative and interesting. I have to admit, I've never thought much about food and the process it goes through before arriving at the grocery store. After seeing this film, I think twice about buying certain foods and I have a whole new perspective on the subject.

One Year Wedding Anniversary

Today is our One Year Wedding Anniversary!



I can't believe how fast time flies, we've had a blast this last year and can't wait for another fun filled year. Last night we celebrated by going out to eat after our church's Trunk-or-Treat. We went to Laurelhurst Market for dinner and then to Papa Haydn's for dessert. Both places were delicious!

Rickshaw Business???

If graduate school doesn't work out for Jeff, we may have a future in the Rickshaw business.

Jeff and I helped out at Bynley's birthday party. He gave the kids a ride and they loved it.

It reminds us of a Seinfeld episode.

Star Wars in Concert

A few weeks ago we went to see "Star Wars in Concert". A live symphony was playing the Star Wars music as we were watching scenes from all 6 movies. We had a wonderful time. Before the show, we walked around and saw all the different costumes and movie props. A lot of people were dressed up in Star Wars costumes, it's kind of crazy how some people go all out. If "Star Wars in Concert" comes to your city, we highly recommend it.

Tyler Florence

A couple of months ago, Macy's Department Store was hosting a cooking demonstration done by Tyler Florence. Jeff loves to watch Tyler on the Food Network, so we were very excited to go to this event. Apparently, everyone else loves Tyler as well because it was very crowded. We were in the back, but we had a great view of everything. It was so nice because we got to sample all the food that Tyler made. He made Crab Artichoke Dip, Roasted Pork Shoulder with mashed potatoes and an Apple Crisp for dessert. All the food was absolutely delicious and it was fun to watch him make all the food. He also passed along some helpful cooking tips. It was such a fun night.
